The fourth element of our Integrated Management Framework is metrics and related targets. Out of the hundreds of ESG themes, we selected metrics that can help us meet the following objectives:
- To check if we are staying the course on our mission
- To measure our performance in implementing our sustainability strategy
- To guide us in addressing our most significant material ESG topics
- To ensure a balanced attention to the three scopes of corporate sustainability (ESG)
In 2023, we selected our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for ESG by choosing a set of KPIs that are most basic to our operations. These are our mission pillars which we defined with the Technical Working Groups (TWGs) of the subsidiaries in 2022. The metrics may be qualitative or quantitative depending on the nature of a subsidiary’s operation. Our output in adopting these KPIs are detailed in the section on Values Generated on pages 108-177. While the current KPIs refer to both GRI and SASB, next year, we intend to augment the list with industry-specific metrics referenced to SASB as prescribed by IFRS-ISSB.
